I've read a number of the Reacher novels and always enjoyed them. However, Echo Burning was a slog to finish. Nothing happens for a lot of the book. Much of the action we expect is not there, and until page 150, I wondered what it was even about. At this point it did pick up for a few hundered pages but then the last  hundred fell flat again, the "twist" I saw a mile off and so the dragging out of the reveal was wasted. I did finish it, so it can't have been all bad, and Reacher remains one of my favourite fictional characters.
