I found the first half of this book very slow and hard to get through. I really just wasn’t fond of the two main characters after Foxglove. Originally I wanted to rate it 4 stars because of this and because I felt

the development of feelings between Blythe and Aris was a bit rushed and sudden

however, the last quarter of the book really saved it and bumped up my rating. I raced through the send half of the book in only a few hours and just couldn’t put it down!! 

I’m really looking forward to the next instalment when that is released!
