Nate has bought his wife, Drew, tickets to the Kentucky Derby for her birthday. It's her lifelong dream to attend and their best friends are coming along for the ride. But a weekend that is meant to be nothing but fun takes a turn when secrets are revealed. With everything unveiled both marriages are under threat!
This is a book that I would usually pick up but I enjoyed the change of pace. It felt like a refresher after all the thrillers and mysteries I've read recently. The beginning of the book was quite slow but once I got to know the characters I was more invested. It was interesting to see both couples navigating middle age and how stagnant marriage can become. Both couples had very different issues and dealt with them in their own way. The Kentucky Derby was a great back drop for this story too!
