Have loved the Adam Dagliesh novels and have rated previous ones high. Just now getting around to reading P.D. James’ last book. I hate sounding churlish but in truth, by the time the first murder occurred and after 16 chapters of detailed descriptions, I just did not care anymore. Sigh. Still, James will always be a favorite. Just not this book.
