This book is for anyone who is drowning under the weight of "does my life have any meaning?"
A cozy fantasy where a non-binary tea monk and their robot traveling companion discuss the meaning of it all as they venture into the wild. This author begs "no, why would it?" in the most comforting way possible. Two things I am not are 1. A philosopher and 2. someone who believes that life truly has a meaning. I think this book quite elegantly contemplates the meaning of life in a way that does not feel harsh, judgmental, or stuffy. I read a few lines of this novel to someone in my life who truly needed a break and it brought them to tears.
Thumbs up: Accessibly philosophical, gentle, and comforting, a wonderful short read which I cannot wait to jump into again and again.
Thumbs down: "No book is perfect but it was perfect for me."
Was it a nail biter?: Low stakes, cozy, and warm, no action and all good vibes. Definitely a must read.
