I can only guess an interpretation of this work. I revcall a quote of Camus along the lines of „if you want to be a philosopher write novels“. This is exactly what this book feels like, an absurd story based on the philosophy of the absurd. And Camus does a great job of introducing the philosophy of the absurd to the reader by letting you in the inner circle of an absurdist thoughts. Loved the book and it’s many messages will  continue to haunt me (in a positive sense).
