This was a difficult read cause Whyborne was such a jerk for most of the book. It paid off in the end and did bring some much-needed character growth, but wasn't a pleasant experience since the reader is locked into his POV. 

I'm actually a bit nervous about where things go from here. Whyborne seems almost too powerful at this point.
