Overall I really enjoyed this book. Enjoyed the characters, even when they made me want to scream and throw the book, and I enjoyed that it was the main characters’ actions that drove the majority of Babylonia.
I won’t lie, I did think that this book would spend most of its time with Semiramis as Queen of Assyria and Babylon, instead it is about the lead up to her becoming queen. Even still, I highly recommend this retelling for someone looking for a book focusing on lesser known myths.
