I’ve never understood the fascination with the Wonderland story. This is my second time re-reading Alice in Wonderland and first time reading Through the Looking Glass and I just don’t get it. It’s stressful to be honest and incomprehensible. I get that it’s suppose to be a magical world of nonsense meant to be fun but I just find it and the characters exhausting. I’ve also seen the animated Disney version and the Tim Burton adaptations and don’t particularly enjoy those either so I think this sorry and its ideas just aren’t for me. I’ve yet to find an iteration of this story I enjoy.
