The Doors of Stone by Patrick Rothfuss
5.0
I'm rating this unreleased book (which I'd typically never do), because I am so disturbed and completely shocked at the level of hate being thrown at this utterly brilliant man.
I am so disgusted by the entitlement, lack of empathy, and sheer audacity so many members of the book community (many self-proclaimed former fans) have exhibited when it comes to this series. I expect more of the bookish community.
To all of you haters: This man-- this HUMAN BEING-- owes you NOTHING. Do you have ANY comprehension, or even TRY to comprehend, what this level of public ridicule can to do a human being? If he does not release this book, it will ultimately be BECAUSE OF YOU. And, honestly, I wouldn't blame him for a second. You are bullies. You are shameful. And, more than anything, you are everything that is wrong with this world.
Pat-- focus on you. Take care of you and your family. Live your life, because you deserve to. Live your life, because the ones you love and who love you need you to. What you've given to this world has already been perfect and I personally am so grateful to have been alive during a time when I got to read your books.
