Make Time: How to Focus on What Matters Every Day by Jake Knapp, John Zeratsky

lighthearted fast-paced

3.0

There was a lot about this book I didn't "like" but that probably would have made it worse if it was missing. Like a lot of the jokes and illustrations were a bit lame to me, but realistically they did make it easy to read and understand. The book essentially functions as a bunch of distinct ideas that fall into different categories related to time. I found the basic idea behind the book, the system they use, to be a helpful framework, and that plenty but not all of the individual ideas were also helpful and also explained fairly well. There were entire sections that I skipped because, for example, I have no issues with wasting time using e-mail. Although I found the book annoying at times, it has a clear message/goal and it does it decently so I can't fault it too much. I think the main strength of the book is in making one think about how they use their time as well as urging the reader to find something unique to them that makes their use of time better. Far from essential but ok.
