Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 1: Legacy by Dan Abnett, Paul Pelletier, Andy Lanning
3.0
This book picks up in the immediate aftermath of one of Marvel’s endless stream of crossover events, so it took me a couple of issues to get my bearings since I hadn’t followed the Annihilation crossover.
But once it establishes its own distinct plot, this book is tons of fun. It even tries out a few unusual storytelling techniques here and there. It doesn’t have any of the zaniness of the Steve Gerber original, but nevertheless, it tells a solid story with a good cast.
