Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley

I wasn't expecting it, but this book really sucked me in. I finished it in less than a day. I love the narrator's "voice", and how frank he is about how difficult the events of the book were for him. A lot of the action of the book takes place while he isn't there and he only finds out about it later, which might have been frustrating, but it didn't feel that way to me. I think it just reinforced the impression that Jake is a real person who's telling you a story in his own words. I really feel like I got to know him.
