Maybe I’ll come back to it but I’m trying to decide whether is is a “this book was not for me” sort of feeling. Had I known this was more of an urban fantasy I probably would have avoided it. There’s no “fantasy” until about the 25%-30% mark and the pacing is just off. Also this character is handling a lot of stressful things pretty well for someone who has a series heart condition.
