Hit and Run by Lori Matthews

4.0

Hit and Run is my first book by Lori Matthews, and whilst I did enjoy it part of me wishes I had read the previous stories in this series not that it would be necessary to understand this one, but because when it starts it feels like it's picking up a story rather than beginning one. So for me, I felt like I didn't quite have the whole picture.

But it certainly lived up to the genre, and it had some moments of action going on, not to mention some humour. Thanks to a group of grannie's, who Dani befriends whilst she and Gabe are trying to make their way safely back from Alaska. And I did quite like Dani and Gabe, but I wasn't one hundred percent convinced by their romance, and I felt like the ending was too neat and tidy, especially considering how they initially parted.

Yet all in all it was a satisfying and intriguing story, and having a second chance to read it error free really helped me discover that. Which is why I changed my initial rating of 3.75 to 4 stars.

Would recommend, especially to anyone who is a fan of the series.
