A dear friend whose opinion I trust recommended this book to me. She said she finished it a month ago and hasn't been able to stop thinking about it. I took that as a ringing endorsement. I started reading it and was immediately hooked. The story of Joy and Jack's deep and abiding friendship and love, and how much they meant to each other, is so inspiring and powerful. Joy was such a strong and fascinating figure in her own right, not just because of her connection to Jack. We need more pure and beautiful love stories like this.
