This book had some great gothic imagery, some of the horror is so over the top it's awesome. The biggest flaw is that it is painfully slow paced. The book is told through letters and diary entries and the characters make entries from May-November even when nothing of note even happens. And the characters spend so long planning on how they will kill Dracula, Stroker really does think of every little boring detail, that it's almost anticlimactic when it finally does happen, on the very last page. I would say read this novel if you really like gothic horror and vampires but otherwise meh.
