“Most threads frayed over time and distance, but never Io’s. Her love was evergreen.”

This book was wonderful, and somewhere between cozy, fantasy, and greek retelling! The dynamic between the diverse cast of characters (including a character with Vitiligo) is delightful! The relationship the character’s had with each other was so enjoyable and the plot was quick paced and engaging, with twists and turns.

My biggest issue with the book is that it’s almost too quick paced. There are pieces of the plot I actually wish were longer and a little more flushed out. Io makes some snap decisions in regards to the overall mystery. I appreciate the movement of the plot, but I wish there was more time for Io to put her conclusions together.

Overall, a very enjoyable, quick paced, story with an interesting and engaging mystery!
