Hop at Swimming Class by Esther Van Den Berg
adventurous
funny
lighthearted
fast-paced
4.5
What happens when tadpoles become frogs? Well, they need to learn to swim, of course! So Hop and his siblings are sent off to swimming class. Only Hop is much smaller than his siblings. And every thing he tries to do, ends up a bit of a mess.
My little reader and I picked this book for the artwork and the topic. My little swimmer giggled through the whole thing, talked about what she learns at swim class, and how silly Hop was. She requested it again and again, and said it was a "five and a half stars!" book. I thought it was cute, and had no problem reading it more than once, although I wish the story had flowed a bit better. 4.5 stars out of five from us!
I was provided an ARC copy of this book through Netgalley. My thanks to the publisher and the author for providing it to me.
