I really looked forward to this book. Seriously waited until it showed up on my doorstep from Amazon.
I profoundly loved Georgia’s writing/chapters. I’m fascinated by how she became who she is after being such a fan of the show and knowing her past struggles with her mom, her eating disorders, her anxiety, meth, etc.
I especially loved the very short section she wrote about Vince- her road to meet him reminded me of my own to meet my husband...worth the wait to find someone so wonderful!
Karen’s chapters didn’t seem as genuine, open, or novel for some reason to me. She seemed reserved, whereas Georgia felt like much more of an open book. I also wasn’t a fan of her writing in her chapters. During the podcast, I like hearing Karen tell her murders, as I think she’s a better storyteller with much better delivery. However, most of her stuff in the book was from the podcast. My favorite chapter of hers was her self-care chapter and the chapter about buying your own shit.
It was a quick read (one day, for me) with plenty of interesting anecdotes. Murderinos who listen to MFM and already feel like they’re friends with Karen and Georgia will love it! I’d say somewhere between 3-4 ⭐️, but I erred on the side of rounding up to give them 4 ⭐️!
