I have been wanting to read this author for a few years now. She writes about South Carolina and since that is where I am from, I figured I would love the setting. This book just wasn't quite the one for me. I didn't really connect with any of the characters and it read more to me like a soap opera than a dramatic and funny read like I was expecting. I think I will try some of her earlier works that have been recommended to me before I decide on this author.
