Half of booktok doesn’t even read books imo. I genuinely thought this book was better than the first. I think the author is building the story more with this book, so if you don’t like this book, then maybe fantasy isn’t for you?? This book focuses more on deepening the plot and not so much on the romance. The romance still is a big part, but it’s not the picture. I enjoyed this book, and I went into the book believing the series was overhyped.
Would I recommend? Absolutely. It was a pleasant experience.
