Sally Rooney really did that, and I love her for that.

I think the ending was shocking at first and then it was like… Perfect. The way Sally Rooney portraits literally the effects of trauma in human relationships it’s amazing and I love how real and kind of poetic these characters were. They’re the kind of people you would like to have around as long as they don’t get too involved in your life.

I think Frances is the perfect self-destructive character.
The lack of magical redemption arc and the fact that the ending is the beginning makes this story truly unique and so profound I don’t think I’ll stop thinking about it for a very long time.
