Relatos de um gato viajante
by Hiro Arikawa
I picked up this book on a whim because cats and Japanese literature - a combo which worked fairly well for me last time. But I didn't know anything about it, and I wasn't expecting this book to be so sad. I was crying so much by the end, it was so emotional.
The story itself was interesting too, I liked getting to know the main human character and understanding how much the cat actually means to him. Because in the beginning, I thought it was going to be a looser story than it ended up being, and I was pleasantly surprised that the cat actually was way more meaningful in Satoru's life than it seemed at first. And yes, I also loved Nana's personality because it was indeed very cat-like lol
