I feel a little let down by this book. It started off strong with the fight between Ash and Kolis which then led to Sera and Ash’s imprisonment/caged. After that it really felt dragged out. It gave an understanding to why Kolis is the way he is in a way, but it felt repetitive at times and I definitely skimmed a lot of the second half of the book.  There was a lot of extra information that didn’t feel necessary (like the revenants/cravens) it was well understood to me that Kolis couldn’t ascend chosen or gods since he’s a fake.
I did love that Sera was the one to free herself and Ash. It really developed her character arc to me. Their reunion after she becomes the queen of the gods is cute but meh at the same time. I skipped alot of it because it didn’t add anything new. Just sex and I love yous.
overall felt like the story just ends on a drop. Not even a cliffhanger.
