First of all, I want to point out that the illustrations were stunning—so detailed and beautifully done. They added such a unique and immersive layer to the story.
The plot was interesting and engaging, with a mystery that, although slightly predictable at times, still managed to keep me hooked.
It had that perfect mix of family drama and suspense. I really liked how the different characters panned out throughout the book.

However, I didn’t quite understand the romantic angle between Ted and Mallory—it felt a bit forced, as if added just for the sake of plot drama.
I truly felt for the child in the story. It tugged at the heart.
Overall, it was a good read—enjoyable, emotional, and engaging. I just expected a little bit more in terms of payoff or twist.
