10/28/14 update: i re-read this last night because i'm starting from the beginning in anticipation of chase's book. i gave it a 4 star rating the first time out but yesterday i wondered what in the world i'd been thinking. it's definitely a 5 for me. the character development is perfect, there is hardly a thing either one of them does that seems to be contrary to what we know or expect from them. their interactions with each other are sweet and poignant and passionate and thrilling all at the same time. and callie. oh, callie. i cried every time i read the last thing on that list.

so, a super love for this book from me. on to the next!
