Barnes has been able to create a YA series that hasn't really been touched on previously.

The Long Game is full of twists and turns and is quite the read.

What is very interesting about this books is the good guys don't win. Not really. They had to buy their way out. There wasn't the heroes sweep in and save the day. No, they negotiated with a terrorist.

Although, I am disappointed there was less Asher and Bodie in this story. And still no Ivy x Bodie love. Sigh.

The story is so open to a third book. However, that being said

I kind of like that the main instigator is still in play. It's difficult to tie such a series up in a neat little bow so the open end I think suits.
