Claiming Grace by Susan Stoker

4.0

Wow. I am really glad that I don't read reviews until after I finish a book.

This was a second chance romance with elements of emotional, mental, and physical abuse. The beginning of the story moved a little slowly, but served to ratchet up the tension in the book. Logan and Grace managed to rekindle a relationship from 10 years ago when Logan left after high school.

Certain parts of the book keep you on the edge waiting to see what will happen next. Other parts seem a little far fetched, but after all, it is fiction. Grace's parents exceeded control freaks to the point of being almost maniacally evil. I got the sense that if Grace's only concern was for herself, things would have been different.

This book is about Logan and it also introduces his brothers Nathan and Blake, explaining how Ace Security came to be started. Logan and Grace also get their HEA.

I read this book via Kindle Unlimited. Overall, I found it to be entertaining. This is the first book I have read by this author. I will go on to read the second book in the series.

To be honest, if I had read some of the reviews on Goodreads first, I probably would have passed it by. I would recommend you take a chance on it and judge for yourself.
