Long Time Gone by S.E. Jakes

4.0

I'm so happy I kept on reading this series even if the first book hadn't convinced me as much as I'd wanted. This books is honestly so much better, the style, the characterizations, the presentations of new characters, those same secondary characters – this was worth it.
There were some details that were a little bit too obvious
SpoilerCillian telling Prophet he'd make a great dad and 10 seconds later Prophet actually starts acting like a dad with Remy... I was like, c'mon, isn't that a bit too obvious? LMAO. But I did enjoy dad!Prophet, so I'm not actually complaining
but I feel like the style was so much more solid here that it was able to keep the story interesting nevertheless. Also, I hope some of the new characters will come up again in the next books! Can't wait to see them again.
