My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh
2.0
bizarre book. too simple yet convoluted. i did not dislike reading it but i was thrown off with how bad it was considering the hype that surrounds it. one of the few books that i’ve read where words do not translate to an image in my head, they’re literally just words floating above the page and they’re stretched enough to bridge a useless sentence. i had expectations and none were met so my disappointment isn’t misplaced! enticed me with the title and synopsis but it ends there.
