We're not going to talk about how long it took me to finish this, okay?
I've been an ancient greek nerd for a while, so I knew what I was signing up for when I started this. I just never expected it to hurt quite as much as it did.
Miller has a way with words that is completely spell-binding. With an almost poetic feel to her prose, she stays true to the legends, while building this beautiful, and real relationship between Patroclus and Achilles.
I cried my way through the majority of this book, and I will be crying over it for at least the rest of the day, if not the rest of the weekend. This book has taken a part of me with it, and I fear I will never get that part back.
