Amore by Kimberly Knight

5.0

Amore was one of those books I just had to read. It checked off so many of my favorite genres. Lucas is a police officer. Frankie was the girl next door in a small town. They had been best friends as teens. They had one special night and then she was gone, only to see him again 10 years later. Can you figure out my favorite genres? Cop, girl next door, small town, friends to lovers, second chance romance.

Most of all, Amore was a statement of never ending love. My heart is still a pitter patter two days after reading the story. The story made me feel happy and contented. Amore is a beautiful example of true love and soul mates. I couldn't help but root for Lucas and Frankie to get their happily ever after.

The author didn't make it easy for me. There were some challenges along the way. After all she is a movie star and he is a LA police officer. That alone would make a relationship challenging. How good would an actress be if she didn't have stalker. Just when I started to relax, the author through me for a loop.

Just a little warning: Don't be surprised if you start humming or singing a certain song periodically throughout the story. I think it is time to watch Lady and the Tramp.
