LOVED the first book. Enjoyed the plot of this one outside of the flaws…. But I could not bring myself to enjoy a large portion of this book which was dedicated to a random subplot summarized as “faerie sex”. Hated every minute of that and felt it betrayed the main character. Felt like the author wanted to write a sex scene but realized their main character’s love interest was too far away plot-wise and they couldn’t wait. Wish I could unread the entire middle portion of the book. But the plot outside of that stain, still really good. I hope book 3 doesn’t bear the same marks.
