I gave this one 4 stars ⭐️
The 4 Blue sisters. 4 different life paths. One died accidentally, leaving 3 to pick up the pieces. 1 year later, on the anniversary of her death, the other sisters come together at the request of their mother, to help sell the family’s apartment in the Upper West Side (NYC). We are taken through each sister’s POV as they navigate and deal with grief and their sister’s death. Spending time together under one roof forces them to face their demons and their secrets.
I almost dnf’d this one, not because of the storyline, but because of the narrator. I listened to this on audiobook but I wasn’t a huge fan of the narration, although it did get better as it went on. I would recommend reading the physical book instead.
Read this if you like:
-Family and sibling drama
-Family trauma
-Family dynamics
-Character driven plots
Coco Mellers did a great job capturing many real, human emotions in this story.
Trigger warnings: overdose, alcohol and drug abuse, death
