So to start, the grammar/spelling/sentence structure was all much better in this, but still too frequent for my liking. But better, so we love seeing improvement!
I really did come to absolutely love Tristan and Morana in the end. Their characters were just beautifully broken in a way where their broken pieces fit together. The plot overall had a lot more going on than the previous book. I can’t even recall a single staring contest or how blue his eyes were! And that’s cause a lot more was happening, so all that filler that the first book had wasn’t necessary.
The ending, though? It felt extremely rushed and I know a lot is meant to be up in the air for there to be more books but this was the supposed end for Tristan and Morana’s journey and I feel like we 1. Got a rushed ending and 2. Didn’t get any kind of satisfaction. Yes, they’re happy, but I have way too many unanswered questions and I’m left feeling disappointed that I won’t be continuing their journey in the next book.
I feel like I’m simply reading each book in this series out of desperation for some sort of satisfied feeling or just some damn answers. All the answers I got in this book were predictable and I honestly already suspected them, so getting answers to the actually mysterious questions would have been nice.
