This was my first regency romance and the mixture of more contemporary themes of intimacy but the setting which gave me Bridgerton vibes. As I said this was my first regency romance but I loved William so much. He was bull headed and took what he wanted. Charlotte was her own woman in her own right. She handled finances and ran a home just as well as man could in this era. Watching her have a second chance was amazing and I’m always a sucker for a reverse age gap. My criticism of this book is two things. I did not like the pet name for him. It was a little cringy but i understand for the story it was needed but would have preferred something else. I loved how she took control but I feel she didn’t let him have authority till the near the end. I would have loved to see more balance in the relationship. Overall I loved the book.
