The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
3.0

Although I can't rate this book lower than three stars because of its undeniable cultural significance, I must confess that I found it quite tedious to read. Tolkien's writing style felt challenging to navigate, often pulling me out of the narrative. The end battle scene turned out to be anticlimactic and left me sighing out loud in disappointment.

Despite this classic's importance, I realise it won't hold a place among my favourite reads. While I appreciate the journey of finally experiencing it, the overall experience didn't resonate with me as I had hoped.
