This book took so long for me to finish, I’ve recently begun reading classics and this may have not been the best place to start.

The book is not what I expected with the gothic mystery, but I really enjoyed how independent Jane was as a character and the exploration of Victorian women at that time.

You really do have a love, hate relationship with Mr Rochester as well.

I feel I really enjoyed the first half of this book, and then towards the end I wasn’t as invested. I feel this may be a book when I re-read I will probably love and appreciate it more, and find something new each time.
