I think this is the first graphic novel that I've ever read that has matched my love for [b:Saga #1|16148398|Saga #1|Brian K. Vaughan|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1358637990s/16148398.jpg|25390766]. I seriously loved everything about this comic/graphic novel. The art was stunning; the color scheme was bright and vivid on some pages then gritty and dark on others. The characters were badass but they all had their flaws which humanized them. You know a story has great characters when you can see yourself being being friends with them in real life. I also appreciated how truly diverse these characters were (Nicaraguan, Mexican, African American, Japanese, caucasian) because I think it's important for art to depict a wide array of people. I love how it's painfully obvious that we've only just began to scratch the surface with all of these characters. I'm definitely looking forward to volume 2!
