Many reviews have stated one thing or another in the negative about this book. How could he, how could she? Blah, blah. The prologue definitely warned the reader about this story - so go forth with an open mind and remember that this book is purely that, a story.

To me it is clear many reviewers have not had the various experiences of life that were explored in this book, thrust upon them and can only comment “how could he, how could she?” Well folks, people have! Some relationships survive and even thrive while others are traumatic and heartbreaking. And yes, I have first hand experience. But those views should not cloud your judgement when choosing this book.

Did I relate to this book? Hell yes!
Did I react to this book? Absolutely!
Did it recall my own life experiences? Sure did in fact on occasions it felt like an autobiography.
Would I recommend this book? Yes 👍

When one falls in and out of love, life will obviously throws curve balls. And it is within these chaotic events that great stories are developed. This book is one. A storyline that causes many a reader to feel uncomfortable, questioning or even angry. So well done, JEM. Your book has caused a ruffle of those proverbial feathers of readers. Or perhaps a squirm on a reading nook cushion.

To sum up, one must remember this adage when thinking about this book - The Forbidden. There are always 3 sides to a story - his, hers and the truth - somewhere in the middle of all of that is where a great story lies.
