King hits it out of the park again, weaving 2 different villians with different agendas into a story featuring Holly Gibney and the city of Buckeye City (which appears to be Cleveland.) Politics, religion, celebrity, media, and our divisive culture all come together and permeate the tale of a community facing 2 killers. The characters are fully drawn, and the complexity of motivations keep the reader's heart pounding throughout.
