The Daughter of Time
by Josephine Tey
The first time I encountered the character of Richard III, I was watching the BBC adaptation of The White Queen. Because of this, I've always been more sympathetic towards him than the average person probably is, and never quite believed Shakespeare's version of a monstrous murderer. This book, despite the fact I deeply disliked Inspector Alan Grant, cemented my belief that Richard was innocent and is an interesting perspective on history itself.
