An amazing start to the series!
I knew as soon as Cain and Oliver were introduced in Pacific Prep I would love them and their story and man did this book confirm my expectations. It starts out a little slow in the spice but I liked that we got to see Swayer and her life without the guy's involvement. I also liked learning more about Cain and Oliver’s backstory.
Sawyer is absolutely amazing. I love a fierce fmc and she does not disappoint. Her hidden identity is one of my favorite things in this book. I also love her relationship with her brother Luc. You can see how much she truly cares for him and will do anything to keep him safe. Oliver is such a great character. Even after being in prison for two years he still has a laid-back personality. Don’t get me wrong, he’ll kill without hesitation but the way he is around Sawyer is simply swoon-worthy. Cain is such an alpha male. He has such a cocky personality. Usually, characters like that take time for me to warm up to, but for some reason, I loved him even with his hard edges. While we don’t get much interaction with the three of them until later in the book the way they reacted to each other made it 100% worth the wait. I am excited to see where their relationship and team up goes.
We also meet Dante briefly. I got to say him and Enzo definitely got my interest perked. They were such a tease and I want more. Jon aka Bones is one of my favorite side characters. His charming, upbeat personality brings a smile to my face. It’s hard to believe where he came from and all he endured. I can’t wait until the next book. This was such a good start to the series and now I have so many questions and need some answers.
