This had me up last night screaming and squealing in second hand embarrassment, joy, shock, and horror. I still have no words. Maybe I'll come back in a couple days and update this once I've stewed on it, but as of right now... THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. Skip to the last paragraph if you like short reviews for a summary.

As with the first book, this only gets a 4.75 just because I really do hate love triangles, and if I didn't have an obvious type, I would've been really torn with this one. It's truly a testament to Mae's incredible writing. Another reason why I knocked off 0.25 is because it had a very slow start and did tend to drag in places. Never fear though, it definitely picked up by the end. The final thing that knocked it down from a solid 5 stars was the miscommunication trope. I adore enemies to lovers, but enemies to lovers with an extreme miscommunication trope... Not so much. It's easy to make two people misunderstand each other and fall in love. It's a lot harder to make two people who hate each other without major miscommunication problems  fall in love. However, this isn't to say Mae took the "easy way out", because her plot will tell you otherwise.

I loved this book, I truly did. A few minor things knocked it down from being a five star read, but they're only personal preferences.  If you enjoyed A Kinder Poison even a little, you have to read this. There's no second book syndrome here this one was even better than the first one. Here's to the last book!
