Barely Missing Everything by Matt Mendez

3.0

Lots of YA novels have been written about police brutality, but this is the first one I’ve seen where the protagonist is Hispanic instead of black. I loved reading about JD, Juan and Fabi. Not sure how I felt about the plot of this book, but it felt almost like watching an indie film. Sorta reminded me of One Hundred Years of Solitude (even though I’ve never read that book).
