The Distance of the Moon by Italo Calvino
Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.
Even though it's a tiny size and a collection of short stories, it was hard to even drag myself through the first one.
Weird just for the sake of weird?
With names like Qfwqf, Vhd Vhd and Xlthlx, I found it very hard to connect with the characters.
There didn't seem to be much of an actual story, more just a written version of what can be thought of as a wild fever dream the author once had? I am very confused, and don't intend to read the rest of it.
Between the boring descriptions of things that don't seem to have much significance to the story, there was also a weird description of one character grabbing another one's breasts, totally out of place. Ugh.
