I knew nothing of this book when I picked it up except it was set in London during WWII. I honestly was expecting a lighthearted historical romance type story. I was delighted to find it was so much more. The author writes plainly about the tragedy of war while still maintaining an overall hopeful prose. Really enjoyed this one
