Sinister Legacy by Harleigh Beck
5.0
I haven't picked up a horror book since I was 14 years old, and certainly not an erotic one. Sinister Legacy isn't a book I probably would have chosen for myself, but it was the @unholyromancereaders book of the month. I had no idea what to expect going into this one, as I went in completely blind. I was, however, completely blown away. Sinister Legacy is nothing short of perfect. I will definitely be returning to the horror genre soon. It may have taken me a moment or two at first to adjust to all the many points of view. In the end, though, I immensely enjoyed it. It was almost as if I had been watching a movie. This book reminded me a lot of the movie Scream, albeit with more smut. I had so much fun trying to figure out who the murderer was. The smut was out of this world, and I believe this is one of the few books that I didn't skim-read even once. Honestly, if I could have any book adapted into a movie, it would be this one. Sinister Legacy is an outstanding novel that I strongly encourage you to read. This is a dark erotic horror, so be sure to read the trigger warnings beforehand.
"The good girl. The serial killer’s broken daughter. The perfect girlfriend. The whore who comes out to play after sunset. They all make up a part of me, like an individual piece of the tapestry. Without one, I’m an unfinished patchwork quilt."
