novi 's review for:
Case Closed, Vol. 25
by Gosho Aoyama
mysterious
tense
fast-paced
Case 1: it was okay, not really memorable. Wait, i just remembered there's an unexpected romance between 2 hot people at the end so i guess that's cool lol
Case 2: it's probably the darkest case so far. Not the first that involved suicide, but definitely one with darkest background. The trick used for murder was again, SO intricate that it felt so ridiculous for me and made me laugh bc boy, the killers in this series were surely all smart. The approach was never (or rarely, maybe) from the psychology point of view like Agatha Christie ("What kind of person that could/would do this, psychologically?"). Instead, it's all tricks tricks tricks. No matter the occupation or the brain capacity of said killer. They'd always be able to conjure such complicated string tricks to kill people.
Case 3: this one is fresh and different than other cases. A tense, short adventure. The kids' roles are really big too here. Loved it!
